WELCOME TO THE 2023 SERVICE LEARNING SUMMER INSTITUTE!
The Summer Teaching Institute will focus on both the pedagogy and the practice of Service Learning to help you add this transformative high-impact practice to your course.
Our goals include:
- Outlining learning objectives that connect your course to the service
- Identifying Community Partners that fit the needs of your course and engage students
- Discussing how to prepare students to engage with the community
- Designing reflection activities tied with the learning objectives and the service
- Examining rubrics to assess student learning
