Do you know the Shuri-castle in Okinawa? This is a red and huge castle, and it is very important building of Okinawan history.
Okinawa was a kingdom and it was called "Ryukyu-kingdom". It existed for 450 years, from 1429 to 1879. It had many unique cultures because it had good relationships with China, Japan and South Asia. You can enjoy and learn about it if you visit there.
In the Shuri-castle, they have a special event that you can watch the parade of ancient Ryukyu-kingdom. As you can see the photo, so many people join this parade and you can take pictures and record the videos with them. Also, inside of the castle, there are many some exhibits like a crown, clothes and something like that.
Btw, sadly it was barned because of accident in 2019. All of Okinawan people was sad because we love our history and cultures so much and the castle was our simbol. My high school was near the castle, so the city was so busy and there were a lot of smoke in our town. Thanks to fund-raising, it is rebuilding now.
