There is an endangered species called “horseshoe crab” in Japan. They are called living fossils because they have been living without changing their appearance for 200 million years.

In my hometown, Sasebo, there is an aquarium that protects them. Horseshoe crabs live on 99 islands, located in Sasebo, and this aquarium attacks surveys and research. People can learn about their history, ecology and living conditions.
