Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this module, the learner will be able to:
1. Discuss terms, concepts and phrases commonly used in Integrative Healthcare (IH).
2. Describe the components of the IH Encounter using the SIGNPOST METHOD including the encapsulation of the problem, history, RoS, physical, plan and follow-up
3. Articulate a beginning understanding of the components of an IH Case Study.
Activities
The learner will
1. Read all module assigned readings:
Read
Rakel, Chapter 3 and 116: “The Healing Encounter” and “Integrative Medicine for the Underserved" (Rakel, 4th Edition).
1. Take the syllabus quiz.
2. View all module power points and videos.
3. Actively participate in online Discussion.
4. Identify an area of interest common to Family Practice or Psychiatric Mental Health and an age range to be addressed in the case study presentation.
